Barbershoppers Deliver Singing Valentines

Over the Valentines weekend, Hilton Head Barbershopper Quartets will deliver “Singing Valentines” to loved ones (spouses, friends, relatives, & business associates). Cost is $40. Call 843-681-6411 to reserve a time.

The traditional Singing Valentine includes a wonderful surprise for a spouse or girlfriend when a quartet shows up at home (or even a business location) and delivers a “love song” in beautiful harmony.  In addition, a long stemmed rose and a personalized card leave a lasting remembrance of the thoughtful and unique gift.

Some of these have been be described as “life saving” events.

For many men, thinking of new and creative ideas to express their love becomes more difficult each year, and results in last minute decisions.  One request received on Valentines Day itself was to meet the 6:30pm Daufuskie Ferry and deliver a “Singing Valentine” to his wife, who was arriving after a long workday.  It was like he had planned it in advance.

In another situation, we asked what a gentleman wanted printed on the Valentine Card.  He said “Just write…I’m sorry, I’m very sorry.” Wow… wonder what that was all about?

While expressions of love are normally for couples, many businesses show  appreciation to their employees for their dedication, good work and loyalty.  Often our quartets wander throughout the building singing to various departments.
